description Organizations constitute the ubiquitous environment, created by the human being and integrated by him, which, in the course of his evolution and development, has provided him with the highest states of satisfaction and well-being: social, economic, political, cultural and educational, among others. To achieve such satisfaction and well-being, the organization requires a structure that guarantees that it achieves its objectives. What has been stated is the fundamental purpose of this essay: to analyze the models proposed by organization theory and management scientists, to define and study the structure, with the aim of demonstrating that such models have limited themselves to pointing out the relevance of the structure and its elements, without actually establishing a proposal for its design.In order to fulfill this purpose and objective, a documentary theoretical investigation was demonstrated, which defined the main published works on: Structure of Organizations as a study unit. And as categories of analysis are established: delimitation of the concept of structure, elements of the structure and structure model. The results of the essay allowed to identify six models, by means of which both the theory of the organization and the scientists have determined: what is the structure, what are its components and how they are configured, to achieve the objectives of the organization. Based on the achievements obtained, a proposal for a structure model for the educational organizations of the Costa Rican educational system is developed. In the conclusions, the importance of the structure for organizations and in particular for educational organizations is highlighted, clarifying that the model proposed for the Costa Rican educational system represents an effort, whose main purpose is to induce and deepen the study of the structure in the schools.

Las organizaciones constituyen el medio ubicuo, creado por el ser humano e integrado por él que, en el devenir de su evolución y desarrollo, le ha proporcionado los más altos estados de satisfacción y bienestar: social, económico, político, cultural y educativo, entre otros. Para lograr tal satisfacción y bienestar, las organizaciones requieren de una estructura que les garantice alcanzar sus objetivos. Lo señalado fundamenta el objetivo de este ensayo: analizar los modelos propuestos por la teoría de la organización y los cientistas en administración para definir y estudiar la estructura, con el objetivo de demostrar que tales modelos se han limitado a señalar la relevancia de la estructura y sus elementos, sin llegar a establecer una propuesta para su diseño. Para cumplir con tal objetivo se desarrolló una investigación teórico-documental, la cual definió como unidad de estudio las principales obras publicadas sobre Estructura de Organizaciones, y como categorías de análisis se establecieron las siguientes: la delimitación del concepto de estructura, elementos de la estructura y modelo de estructura. Los resultados del ensayo permitieron identificar seis modelos, mediante los cuales tanto la teoría de la organización como los cientistas han determinado qué es la estructura, cuáles son sus componentes y cómo se configuran para alcanzar los objetivos de la organización. A partir de los hallazgos obtenidos se presenta una propuesta de modelo de estructura para las organizaciones educativas del sistema educativo costarricense. En las conclusiones se destaca la importancia de la estructura para las organizaciones y, en particular, para las organizaciones educativas, se aclara además que el modelo propuesto para el sistema educativo costarricense; representa un esfuerzo, cuyo fin principal es inducir y profundizar sobre el estudio de la estructura en los centros educativos. As organizações constituem o instrumento ubíquo, criado pelo ser humano e por ele integrado, que no decurso da sua evolução e desenvolvimento tem proporcionado os mais elevados estados de satisfação e bem-estar: social, económico, político, cultural e educacional, entre outros. Para alcançar tal satisfação e bem-estar, a organização necessita de uma estrutura que lhe garanta o alcance de seus objetivos. O exposto fundamenta o propósito deste ensaio: analisar as formas ou abordagens com que a teoria da organização e os cientistas em administração definiram e estudaram a estrutura. E propor de acordo com os resultados um modelo de organização educacional, baseado em sua missão social. A análise baseou-se nas contribuições da pesquisa teórica documental, que definiu como unidade de estudo os principais trabalhos publicados sobre: ​​Estrutura das Organizações. Como categorias de análise: delimitação do conceito de estrutura, elementos da estrutura e modelo de estrutura. Os resultados permitiram a identificação de seis modelos através dos quais foi definido o que é a estrutura, quais são os seus componentes e como podem ser configurados para atingir os objetivos da organização. Com base nos achados, justifica-se, fundamenta-se e propõe-se um modelo estrutural para as organizações educacionais. As conclusões destacam a importância da estrutura para as organizações e em particular para as organizações educacionais, esclarecendo que o modelo proposto representa um esforço, cujo objetivo principal é induzir e aprofundar o estudo da estrutura nas organizações educacionais.
