El artículo aborda el síntoma como un modo de lazo social comunitario a partir de un enfoque discursivo con eje en la intersección entre psicoanálisis lacaniano y teoría/sociología política. Colocando el eje en las características que asume el discurso del movimiento de piqueteros, sostiene que representa un síntoma social que emergerá de las entrañas de la cadena equivalencial menemista. A su vez, señala que este síntoma logrará conformar una nueva configuración imaginaria del lazo social a partir de la demanda universal por trabajo e inclusión social.
