Sumario:The acknowledgement of the rights of women on behalf of the western modern states, is a miscalculated and undesired consequence of the bourgeoisie revolutions, which proclaimed the universality of the rights of ―literally― men.Thus, the relationship between modern western states and women is ambivalent, and the advancements achieved by the latter have been a result of their resolve to fight in order to obtain their full sovereignty, rather than a consequence of the hegemonic political will.
