The article concludes that behind these obstacles there exists a significant amount of confusion, and even intellectual pedantry.Interdisciplinarity demands, beyond the overcoming of logical barriers, both a personal and antidogmatic attitude and a constant struggle against arrogance, vanity and professional chauvinism. |

Este artículo analiza críticamente el tema —muy en boga en nuestros días— dela interdisciplinariedad de las ciencias (sociales y jurídicas). Establece que paraalcanzar dicho objetivo no basta con utilizar, indiscriminadamente, la palabrainter- o transdisciplinariedad. Es necesario estudiar, de una manera realista,las dificultades teoréticas que existen en contra de ese objetivo. Se analizan,concretamente, tres “obstáculos epistemológicos” en contra del trabajo conjuntoentre las citadas disciplinas: el problema de la inconmensurabilidad entre paradigmas(Kuhn, Feyerabend); el problema del principio de relatividad lingüística (Whorf, Sapir,Wittgenstein) y, finalmente, el problema de los sistemas cerrados o autopoiéticos(Luhmann, Teubner). Se concluye que detrás de estos obstáculos hay una buenadosis de confusión y hasta de pedantería intelectual. La interdisciplinariedad exige,más que la superación de barreras lógicas, una actitud personal antidogmática y unalucha constante contra la arrogancia, la vanidad y el chovinismo gremiales.
