En las comunidades cercanas al Centro Integralmente Planeado (CIP) de Bahías de Huatulco, se han impulsado emprendimientos con la finalidad de ser partícipes de los beneficios del turismo. Por lo tanto, se analizaron los tipos de emprendimientos impulsados por las comunidades cercanas al cip Huatulco durante el periodo del 4 al 30 de agosto de 2019. Para ello, se utilizó la investigación acción-participativa en recorridos con turistas para identificar los emprendimientos; posteriormente, se entrevistó a los actores que los dirigen. Se identificaron dos tipos de emprendimientos: emprendedor social y emprendimientos sociales. Ambos se desarrollan en un entorno comunitario ofreciendo servicios de hospedaje y alimentación con un enfoque de turismo de naturaleza.
