Este trabajo tiene como objetivo presentar tres ejes problemáticos de la relación entre delito y pobreza, tal como la misma fue reconstruida por la confluencia de estrategias de prevención del delito y las políticas sociales en la Argentina contemporánea. El enfoque metodológico fue cualitativo y combinó técnicas de investigación documental con entrevistas a profundidad. Se argumenta que los procesos de producción de la relación delitopobreza en que estas políticas participan, se caracterizan por asignar un lugar “paradojal” a la prevención social del delito con respecto a las tendencias contemporáneas de las políticas de control del delito, con el fin de mostrar lógicas de comunitarización e individualización en su intervención y la polarización de las defi-niciones de su “población-objetivo”.
