El propósito de este artículo es reflexionar desde la perspectiva del Frente Nacional de Pueblos Indígenas (FRENAPI) sobre los procesos de derechos humanos desde su dimensión cultural, los cuales son construcciones históricas, políticas y dinámicas. Sus aportes son leídos a partir de la sociología de las ausencias y de la sociología de las emergencias. En las conclusiones se destaca como el movimiento presenta un proyecto de derechos humanos situado a la realidad del país, que contempla la autonomía, la autodeterminación, la tierraterritorio, entre otros.
