Sumario:The study of the Mexican capital’s newspapers during the 1851-1909 period as the birth ofthe sport in Mexico City refers to this activity comes within the bourgeoisie in capital andmain foreign colonies located in that city. In these years the sports landscape was dominatedby individual disciplines, which had a negative impact on the proper preparation andtraining. With the birth of baseball in 1897, the workers sector participated in sports, sowe can consider that baseball contributed to the formation of recognition of class betweenthese social groups.
