El objetivo del presente artículo consiste en describir los principales canales de influenciadel status de salud sobre el crecimiento económico. Asimismo, se realiza un análisis deestadística comparativa sobre la situación entre los diferentes países y regiones, respectoa las variables salud e ingreso. Finalmente, se intenta verificar desde el punto de vistaempírico, mediante la técnica de agrupamiento por tramos, la existencia de una estrecharelación entre estas dimensiones, considerando la situación relativa de los diferentes paísesdel mundo.
