Esta literatura proletaria fue producida principalmente por obreros y artesanos de la ciudad. In this article the author analyzes a particular gender of popular and marginal poetry written in Costa Rica at the beginning of the 20th century. This proletarian literature was produced mainly by workers and craftsmen from the city.
