The analysis allows a more detailed understanding of the sometimes contradictory ideas defended regarding female education and the complex relationship of the author with the feminist movement of the 1930s in Costa Rica. |

El ensayo “Medios que usted sugiere…” (1938) de la escritora costarricense, Yolanda Oreamuno, ha sido una referencia importante en la comprensión del pensamiento de la autora y de sus posiciones respecto de la situación de la mujer y del feminismo. En él, la autora lanza cuestionamientos y críticas importantes sobre la educación costarricense y el rol social de las mujeres; sin embargo, es posible constatar divergencias en las opiniones críticas sobre la solidez del pensamiento desarrollado en este. El presente artículo tiene como objetivo analizar la construcción teórico-argumentativa del ensayo a la luz del contexto del movimiento feminista de la época y de la noción de “frivolidad ambiente” utilizada por Oreamuno. El análisis permite una comprensión más detallada de las ideas, a veces contradictorias, defendidas respecto de la educación femenina y la relación compleja de la autora con el movimiento feminista de la década de 1930 en Costa Rica. O ensaio "Medios que usted sugiere..." (1938) pela escritora costa-riquenha, Yolanda Oreamuno, tem sido uma referência importante na compreensão do pensamento da autora e das suas posições relativamente à situação das mulheres e do feminismo. Nele, o autor lança importantes questionamentos e críticas sobre a educação costa-riquenha e o papel social da mulher; contudo, é possível verificar divergências nas opiniões críticas sobre a solidez do pensamento desenvolvido na mesma. Este artigo visa analisar a construção teórico-argumentativa do ensaio à luz do contexto do movimento feminista da época e da noção de "ambiente frívolo " utilizada por Oreamuno. A análise permite uma compreensão mais detalhada das ideias por vezes contraditórias defendidas relativamente à educação feminina e à complexa relação da autora com o movimento feminista dos anos 30 na Costa Rica.
